G1 Problems - Video
This is a video of the launch at T-Mobile. Of course, they don’t allow any G1 problems to be shown because this is all about creating hype so they can sell a ton of these things at Christmas. Time will tell.
There are already some rumors floating around about potential issues and problems for the new G1 smart phone but we aren’t going to repeat them until they can be verified so stay tuned. Until then check out the video and see what you think of the latest craze.
It looks to us like one of the most obvious potential G1 problems is going to be the moving parts. Texters will probably like the old school keyboard so they can keep crippling their thumbs but flips and sliders on cell phones always prove to be weak points. We will have to see.

hey um i got a problem…everytime i text somebody off the g1 i have to compose a new message everysingle time after that..because if i try to go back into the thread it just says im texting the first person in my contacts list and not the one i was texting before..if i dont leave the thread screen it works but it sux cuz i dont want to be on the page all day…and on the thread screen it never shows the person i sent the message to..it never says their name..it says some website….any Help??????…..

Ok… I have had my G1 for about 2 months and I love, love, love it but i am having a problem I cant save my pictures that have been text to me to my sd card, and how do I save numbers from call log? Help Please!!!

I have all tons of problems with the G1. Love the functions and applications but I have to be honest, this smart phone is giving me all types of problems. First, I had dropped calls and is was not dude by signal or my SIM card, so T-mobile sent me a new one. Second, then the other G1 just died. It reheated and turn off, and never ever turn back again. Now, this phone, the third one it turn off by itself. I love the phone, but it is giving problem after problem even though I get a new one.

I have had my g1 since it came out, it recently messed up. My battery died and when i go to reboot it, it stays on this type of menu screen like wen u force shut down a computer too many times =/

I’ve had the G1 for a few months and everything was fine. I’m even on it now but I started to get error messages and when I typed text messages it would kick me out of the screen and back to the previous one. I called T-mobile and did all the reboots and what not and it didn’t work. They sent me a new phone and I got a new SIM card. Now the “new” G1 they sent is still having the texting problems along with when I make calls I can’t hear the caller but they can hear me. I’m so frustrated I don’t even want to call customer service because there can’t be much more they can do. I want my money back so I can get an Iphone!

some idiot tried to guess my unlock pattern password, and failed multiple times. now i have to enter my gmail username and password–and i entered the correct information but my phone keeps saying that my username and password are invalid. BUT i entered the same username and password through on gmail using my computer, and it lets me log in–so what is the problem? AND is there a solution that avoids doing a factory reset?

I’ve had my G1 for just over a month now an its fine apart from my touch screen has completley STOPPED WORKING!!
It just doesn’t respond to anything its like its not a touch screen but it obviously is what am I supposed to do??

I have been using the G1 now for. About 3moths and I really like it,but suddenly while I was using the IM the screen just went off and I couldn’t see anything like when you push the end button.Since there, I could never access to the phone functions if I don’t slide the screen and then push the menu button….Can someone help me with this because whenever I have an incoming call it doesn’t show any of the caller’s info,I just have a black screen.

Hey guys, I’ve just recently updated my G1 (with new updates) and now I can’t watch any videos on utube or other sites even though I am paying for internet access with my bill. Plus it takes ages foe the video to load.
Another problem I have is that the phone some times freezes whilst making calls.
Can any one PLEASE HELP with the video issue as it is really annoying me! Thanks.

Hi every one,
Since my last msg, my phone went bonkers. It wouldn’t lock using the pattern lock, my dial key and home key failed to work, my internet connection was either slow or impossible to load up.
Having looked at other blogs, I was advised to a factory reset (found in settings). Having done so, I lost a lot of applications, but my phone is now working a shed load better than b4. I am able to watch videos on youtube, internet connection is faster, all the keys are working and the pattern lock is also now working.
I’ve downloaded some of the applications again and the ones I paid for too (I didn’t need to pay for it again though).
I’m glad it’s sorted but really annoyed at the amount of time I’ve wasted in trying to fix the stupid phone!

Thw delete key on my g1 controls rhe volume. Alsi the back return key directs me to the search nox box. Sorry for the spq8yt19delling
